If you would like to commision a custom
piece
Here are some important points about Jude
Sharp's custom jewelry:
- Jude can talk
with you to help develop any idea into a lovely piece
of original jewelry.
- You
don't have to have your own design in mind.
- Browse through
samples here or contact Jude for ideas about any type
of jewelry.
- You
can use stones from other jewelry you have.
The
First Step
Starting an order for a custom piece of jewelry is simple!
Contact us to discuss
prospective designs, send a photo or sketch of what
you'd like, or describe your idea. Jude is experienced
at asking questions that target the special details
of your design. You can send her an initial sketch,
or simply express your hopes for the final piece. Jude
will provide you sketches for your approval before
any additional work starts on the piece.
If
you want stones in your custom piece, Jude can get them
- and ensure that they are of the highest quality. Additionally,
you can use stones from jewelry that you already have
-- take the sparkle from a tarnished heirloom and give
it new life in a custom piece.
Affordability
The price of custom jewelry is not prohibitive.
Working directly with the designer/jeweler helps keep
the costs down. Often our prices compare with jewelry
store prices for similar items -- but we guarantee
superior quality and craftsmanship. When Jude designs
custom jewelry for you, you will get a price estimate
for stones (all receipts will state clearly the exact
weight and quality you are buying), plus an estimate
for the custom work. The cost of a piece of custom-made
jewelry varies according to total labor and the cost
of the materials.
Time
Jude
is currently working three-five months ahead on custom
orders, depending on the nature of the commissioned
piece.
